ICU Medical — Infusion Device Platforms & Informatics
Multi-year product engineering engagement with ICU Medical, a US-based infusion device manufacturer. KareInfinity designed and built connected infusion platforms spanning sales demonstration, remote device management, clinical informatics, and EU market applications — integrating smart pumps with hospital systems and clinical workflows.
- Sales Demo platform (2018–2022) — helped ICU Medical’s sales teams demonstrate infusion device capability and workflow; integrated with OpenEMR and Mirth for HL7 exchange; bi-directional pump communication; supported Plum360, Lifecare PCA, and ivWatch, later extended to Smiths Graseby and Medima pumps; runnable on laptop, VM, or Docker.
- Lifeshield Link — cloud-based remote management of infusion devices across hospital networks for firmware upgrades, licence management, and proactive maintenance from usage and service events, reducing downtime and operational friction.
- ONA Informatics Platform — developed and demonstrated at Arab Health 2023; integrates ICU Medical infusion devices into a single dashboard so nurses and physicians can take stock of infusions in progress and act from one view.
- ivX / Infusion Central (2023) — web and mobile applications for the EU market; KareInfinity provided the technical team for application delivery and deployment infrastructure, including human-factor exercise support and ISO 13485 alignment in Switzerland.
